The Iyackuddy Rabindran Short Film Fund is named in honor of the late Iyackuddy Rabindran, who loved Tamil cinema, had immense respect for those in the field of filmmaking and supported the work of women in South Asian entertainment & media.
THE IYACKUDDY RABINDRAN SHORT FILM FUND (IRSFF) COMPETITION

PRIZES - FUND RECIPIENTS WILL RECEIVE
Winner: $1000 CAD investment towards your film’s production and free consulting services and festival representation from VFC for a 1-year term
Runner-Up: Free consulting services and festival representation from VFC for a 1-year term
TERMS OF THE IRSFF
As an investor and consultant on the film VFC must be credited as a Creative/Executive Producer on the winning project, and recipients must acknowledge in the film credits that the project was made with the support of the IRSF fund
The recipient(s) of the 2018 IRSFF will receive the funds in instalments at a schedule to be mutually decided upon between VFC and the winner, taking into account what production costs towards which the fund will be directed
The IRSFF is a non-interest, untaxed, one-time grant
The recipient of the IRSFF must employ at least 25% female cast/crew as part of the project’s production. Only after proof of team members is provided will the fund be released, and such proof is to be produced at each installment period. Those who do not comply will be contractually obliged to return any fund dollars received
VFC’s free consulting & festival representation services for both the winners & runner-up begin effectively on the date they are informed, and will expire exactly 1-year following
